With full hearts, we share that Chopsticks On Pho restaurant has permanently closed, and Wednesday, December 17, 2025 was our final day.
For 13 beautiful years, our customers, friends, and neighbours became our family. Your love and support carried us through every season, and we are forever grateful.
Wednesday Dec 17, 2025, we said our final goodbye in person, and we were still absorbing all the love from everyone who came out to support us. As a tribute to this incredible community, half of the sale proceeds from our final day were donated to BC Children’s Hospital.
While this chapter has closed, our story continues. We are moving forward as Chopsticks On Pho, a small broth & sauce producer. You can SHOP for our house signature Curry Pho Broth Concentrates and our beloved O-Peanut Sauce here, at farmers and community markets, and at local retail stores in the near future.

We are Steven and Lynn, the husband-and-wife team behind Chopsticks On Pho, a small family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that has proudly served the Surrey community for over 13 years. As children who survived the Vietnamese boat refugee journey across the South China Sea for 31 days and rebuilt our lives from nothing, we turned hardship into purpose, we poured our hearts into creating a place that shares the flavours, love, and resilience of our journey, and today, we continue to share our culture, flavours, and story with love, one jar at a time.
Inspired by our loyal customers who encouraged us to bottle our signature flavours, we’ve created a line of handcrafted Vietnamese Curry Pho Broth Concentrates, made with real bone broth or plant-based 🌱 options to bring the heart of our kitchen into yours.

As passionate supporters of fresh, local products and community-driven markets, we believe food is about more than just flavour, it’s about connection and giving back.
❤️ Every year on our restaurant’s anniversary, we donate half of our proceeds to BC Children’s Hospital.
🐾 During Thanksgiving, $3 from every bowl of pho goes to help our little fur friends at the BC SPCA Animal Shelter.
🍲 And each New Year’s Eve, we cook and share over 100 bowls of chicken pho and spring rolls with our homeless neighbours in Whalley, in partnership with NightShift Street Ministries, a heartfelt tradition we’ve upheld for over a decade.
✨ The warmth and support we’ve received from all markets and the community have been overwhelming. Because of this beautiful opportunity, many of our fellow vendors have become like family.
At these markets, it’s not just about selling, it’s about giving back, helping each other, and showing up for one another, whether that’s sharing setup tips, lending a hand with tents, or simply lifting each other up.
We are deeply grateful for the way these markets embrace true community spirit, and we’re looking forward to being part of your beautiful markets this 2026 season.
Our journey has been featured on Global News BC and SoCal Southern California Radio, but at heart, we’re just a small family business with a big love for food, community, and purpose.
On Wednesday, Dec 17, 2025, with a full heart and a bittersweet goodbye, we closed the doors of our beloved restaurant after over 13 years of serving our community. As a heartfelt tribute to the community that supported us for so many years, we donated half of our final day’s sales proceeds toBC Children’s Hospital .
While that chapter has come to an end, the love, stories, and flavours live on. We are now stepping into a new journey as small local food producers, carrying everything we built with us and sharing it in a new way, one jar at a time.
